Aftermarket rims and tires on my 1985 Cut Supreme

Hey guys, one more question. I am looking at buying some 18" Player spokes with almost new Michelin 235/55 R18 tires. Let's just say that it would cost me almost as much to replace my stock tires as getting these. The BS on the rims is not more than 4". Do I need spacers, especially in back? If so how big (1/4 in? 1/2 in?)

Some cars dont have a problem with a 4"bs some do. I run a 3 1/2" bs but have used a 4" bs with 1/4 in spacer. It all really has to do with how much the tire sticks past the rim aka tire buldge. If tire is not much wider then rims with that size rim i would assume you will be good with a 4" bs with no spacer.
