Has anyone used the newer 'lightened' versions of the various transmission crossmembers?

These newer units look like they're based on more modern laser cut/ladder assembled construction vs box tube w/press bent cut-out sections. I'm wondering if anyone has compared weights and/or strength (flex) between them?

It seems if they're just as strong yet lighter.... that's not a bad thing for the higher buy-in costs.

*Examples below are both 'Summit' branded*
