I'm going to remove the smog equipment from my '80 Malibu with a V6. I just wondered if anyone knew of a step by step procedure to help me along.

I take it you live where there aren't annual inspections?
I would guess you would remove the pump, belt and brackets and associated tubing and need to put plugs into the manifolds where to tubes were injecting the air. If the belt also runs other accessories you will be shopping for a shorter belt. You might run a string around the pulleys and measure its length to get a rough idea of the belt length you will need.
