Anyone deal with Air ride technologies I have 79 monte that I want to set up with the Cool ride Kit. Not to sure if its the way to go.The price is steep at $5,995. (I paid less for the monte) But I also want a system that is not going to give me problems. Opinions?

I have never dealt with them but, from what I have seen there are a pretty respectable company. I think that is what all the car tv shows use when they deal with air ride.

good stuff, but there is similar in competiton for WAY less. i have my 88 SS bagged on slam specialties RE7 bags which are just as good if not better than the airride bags. look up altered altitude customs on the net. you will find a system for your car under 2k and thats the one im riding on and i love it with no problems whatsoever.....yet. Xcrosses fingersX

go to pro-touring and do a searh, there are tons of topics on air ride. or you can ask the owner of air ride, he's a member over there. for just a basic bag set up, i mighnt go with the cheap guys. if i want the car to handle, no way would i go with anyone else. but i'd also get the shockwaves in front, not the coolrides. plus the shockwaves don't need any mods. and the built in (serviceable) shock is adjustable for compression and/or rebound.

Thanks all! looks like I need to spend some time to figure out what to go with.

Air ride technologies is well worth the money number one they use fire stone air bags same brand that are on semis number 2 there full kits a arms control arms everything is there.Yes theres cheaper out there but there pumps are slow and use a cheaper air bag and are just a spring replacement so it handles the same as before.I just helped a friend put a Air ride technologies kit on his 86 chevy c10 it handles amazing for a truck and the ride is smoother like driving a couch. To compare look at the cheaper brands theres a front bag then a shock mounted some where Air ride technologies shockwave is a air bag around a adjustable shock saves space and time.

With the prices being over 5K for a kit is there retail outlets that may have them a a better price than going strait through Air Ride? By the time all said and done Im lookin at 8-10K just in suspension and rims. Im thinking daytons but that another subject...... Thanks you all have been very helpfull!!!

we sell a system way cheaper and way better then air ride tech...we build our own brackets in house just for your car let me know and I can get you a quote for what you are looking for ...Let me have the info on example wheel and tire size you are running
