so i started pulling the motor apart after i couldn't get her to start and was amazed by what i found! the timing chain was so i loose to the point where it was completely out of time cylinders leaking into each other the carb gasket was toast and the head gasket was completly shot on the left bank......... the part that i am amazed about is that i managed to drive the 250 miles home. and people knock the old tech lol

DAMN!
btw, you may want to pull both heads and inspect the pistons. bad timing can do some interesting things to them
oh, and change your oil!
sorry if you already know all this, but i'd rather say it and maybe save you some issues.♦

i know to check and don't worry about tellin me i'm not that tight i can't take other peoples advice lol but i'm just scrapping the motor i found what a fella is calling a "big block chev 350" lol a buick 350 so i think it may be a wee bit better then my 305

and if i had known about the problems it wouldn't have i know my luck lol :blam:
