Another car season is here !!!

Yep I got the Monte out of winter storage yesterday.
On the way home when it was warmed up I let'r rip on a nice straight stretch,hit the rev limiter in 4th then poked it into 5th,gotta love that first adrenalin rush of the year LOL
When I put it away last fall it had just started making a funny noise and I initially thought it was coming from the clutch area and I was thinking I would be pulling the transmission to check it out.
Turns out the alternator had come loose and the noise was the cog belt slipping on the pulley's.
That was an easy fix.

I envy you, the region I live in is putting in an LRT which no one wants. There is construction everywhere which will last years and the traffic is so bad it's a constant rush hour stop and go traffic. I want to do a little work to my GP but nothing that is stopping me from driving it. I'm just not interested in driving in rush hour traffic all the time especially with a stick.

One thing I have to do is replace the tires but that can wait till after I get a few good burnouts when I do put it on the road...🙂

I know what you're saying about the LRT stuff Steve. I work in TO, and have to drive in and around the LRT construction from time to time. Its not fun. Fortunately, I live far enough away from the city that I can enjoy driving my hobby cars without worrying about the construction.

Oh yeah the shopping mall LRT in K.W...or what a Billion dollars can get you , plus cost of the stations. it will be $2 Billion before it's done.
I sure ridership will cover it's cost....LOL.
Sorry Steve don't worry, Jeff and my tax dollars will help cover it .
