As a MN native seeing people get so worked up for Vikings make me laugh. Granted i am not a pro sports fan but the team has demonstrated for decades they are just good enough to raise everyone's spirits and then crush them.
I heard the architect tried making the stadium to look like a viking ship but man, it is one ugly building. All the eco mentalists in the metro area are also driven rabid since it has such a huge glass wall and birds routinely fly into the windows and die.
