Hi. Recently picked up a '79 El Camino to be my beater with a heater / black hole to direct cash into. The EC has the testosterone laden 4.4 engine. It is currently white in color, possibly a victim of a MAACO trainee that was drummed out of the Paint Corps. Not good. Interior was once blue, someone thought black spray colorant would improve things. It didn't.

So. First I need to check out the mechanicals. It runs well, and I make a 150 mile a day round trip work commute with it when I'm not up to dealing with the wet elements on a motorsickle. Considering a set of wheels for it, just don't know what will and what won't bolt on and have clearance. Then some Flow Masters. I manage a car lot and have contacts I can work on for the body and interior work. This isn't my primary driver, more like my toy hauler / trailer toter. I have a 5 x 8 utility trailer I haul motorcycles and such on. So I have to get a hitch set up for it. It won't be a receiver hitch, so if someone has info on where I can appropriate an un-obtrusive looking hitch, I'd be grateful.

So. Here I am, setting out blindly on a path that has in the past lead me to frustration, poverty, ethical deterioration [found myself performing in adult movies to buy motorcycle parts and eat]. Any guidance will be considered as long as it doesn't remind me of the Snipe hunts I've been on.
