Hamburg, Pa
So, I've been itching to dive back into my local u-pull-it. It's been about a month or three since my last visit. It was a nice day, in the low 40's I think. Anyways, as usual I start the look out for some G's. Found some good stuff. Two rear alum. bumper supports and one front one in two different MC's. One rear support in a rust bucket SS, and a front/rear in a run of the mill MC. Cool thing is that they sat about 5 ft apart from each other.

Found about 2 to 4 Cutlasses in a fair state of togetherness with good header panels and fenders I think. Found an '81-83 Regal with a mint set of tails and MINT header panel. Those parts are coming off with my next paycheck. $20 for header panels and $10 each for the tails...WooHoo!! Both the tails and header are a 3 year only deal. I think the 1/4's and trunk lid are woth pulling too. No GP's, no Bu's, no wagons, no Elky's or the like.

Don't really know why I'm sharing this, just bored I guess....lol!

i get the itch every once in a while and spend a good Sat. morning doin it. you never know what you will come across

Any of those Cutlass' happen to be non a/c cars?

Couple more months till it's warm enough to venture to the yard in these parts... God I hate winter... :x

I get that itch every time that i have a day off, and even called off work in the past just to get half off discount during the middle of the week. I have a ritual, where I stop at starbucks and roll up a J. once i'm there, i head straight to the GM section. Every time i'm there, i tend to find something i need (so i tell my self) lol. I tend to go alone at times, cause my buddies dont share the same interest that i have towards cars, and if i do take them. They are always asking ( when are we leaving or is that all you need), and i hate that. Honestly, i learned alot of my wrenching at the wrecking yard and knowing how to take parts off properly...

my freind likes to go with me, but he too is a car guy, the only bad thing is he (jokingly) adds up prices of his labor that i owe him and says i have to work on his car when he gets a good project going.

There are a few 'yards around me beside this one I go to. The one has to have round about 20 G's sitting. Most are pretty complete. It's a small yard and is off the beaten path. Nice thing is he crushes almost nothing! He has stuff from the late '40's on up there. It's a time warp for sure. Anyways, if I remember, there were a few non a/c cars there. It's been over a year since I've been to it though. Need to go back soon.

justa6, I can't remember where Hamburg is but there's a huge pick-pull in Hazelton,Pa. This was five years ago, but that place had tons of Gbody's. They advertice as the worlds largest pick-pull and it's the biggest I've ever been too.

You mean Harry's U-pull it ( http://www.wegotused.com/ ). Yeah, I go there from time to time (45min. to an hour away). Most of the time it's well picked over. Last time I was there (well over a year ago) there didn't seem to be alot of G's. But the yard changes all the time, so no tellin what's there now.
