My name is Tim and I live in North Carolina, near Asheville. I drive an 81' Chevy El Camino Conquista with a gutless 305. Here are a few pictures for your viewing pleasure

Welcome. Looks clean. Wow what a difference wheels n tires made. The 305 doesn't have to be gutless & just some 3.08s or 3.23s would help it a lot without killing fuel economy or turning the motor hard on the interstate. Any upgrades planned? You can fit about anything under the hood. One elky owner here did a build thread where be put a 500 Caddy in his.

Thanks for the warm welcome. This one came from Fargo, North Dakota, with a 2 year stint in Sunny Central, Florida. The 305 actually is gutless due to low compression in a few cylinders. I'm planning on yanking the 350/th400 out of the bread truck at work, and swapping them into the Elky this winter. With some freshening up of course. The wheels came off a 2001 GMC Sonoma and have P215/60R15's on front, with P275/60R15 out back. I can barely fit my index finger between the frame rail and the tire. Still have the hub caps and factory wheels hiding under the house with the midgets.

welcome to the forum. Clean looking ride you got there. Rockin the hubcaps

Welcome my Cackalacky brother. Nice Elky, and your 305 is anything but gutless compared to my 231!
