Just joined......looking for some information and ideas to make my '80 Malibu a little better and a little faster.
Car has a "mostly" stock body with the exception of fiberglass bumpers, trimmed and tucked up to the body, fiberglass 1 3/4" cowl hood, 6 pt cage, 12 bolt Chevelle rear with 4:10's, Hotchkis upper and lower rear control arms with udjustable upper trailing arms on the way, Hotchkis upper tubular control arms in the front with polygraphite bushing in the lower. Cracked the block on my 385c.i small block so I'm starting on a 406c.i small block Monday! Brand new TH400 Dynamic transmission with a brake. Hoping to go low 11's on pump gas, street tires and through the exhaust.

Welcome to GBF.Nice looking 'Bu...What are the specs of the 406???? I'm from western N.Y. myself 😀

Another NYer here, just joined as well, from the upstate area near Albany. Own two GBodys, one 100% stock, the other building for street/strip.

Welcome! to you both. I am technically a New Yorker, as well......I was born in Schenectady (when my family lived in Herkimer, and Dad was stationed in Rome), but moved when I was 2. I want to get to that part of the country to visit and see all there is. On a plus, my fiance was born and raised near Syracuse, and she moved to Tennessee, where we met 6 years ago......born so close, 9 years apart, and we meet in all of the places, in east Tennessee.......

So far, it's just a stock 4 bolt block.......going to get line honed and bored .030 over next week.......030 over Mahl pistons and rings came in today as well as the crank and rods.....heads are being drop shipped from Dart, Edelbraock air gap intake with more than likely a Holley HP950. 3" exhaust all the back, Flowmaster 50 series......looking to swap them for something quieter......it's just way too loud!
Heres a few pics
