Much appreciated but I'd probably either BBO/Tremec or turbo LS/auto that build. Add a sturdy rear end, good rubber, and decent suspension and brakes for an oddball budget bruiser.
One big point here is that if that's been a Williamette valley car all it's life rust will be almost nonexistent. They don't salt the roads and it's far enough inland that sea air isn't a factor. Maybe, just maybe, there might be some lower window bubbles. Cars just don't get rusty around there unless you park them under a tree and let the moss grow for several years. I'd guess you could almost eat off the frame rails.
not me, but i did think seriously about it. at that price, plus shipping, i still would have been ahead.
