Antenna Stuck Down; Help

:evil: Frustraited, 1987 Cutlass Supreme. How do I go about getting it up so I can use the radio & or how do I go about replacing the motor and who would have the parts.

Were can I find a new replacement? OE or a univ. brand that will work?

I think that the power ant can be replaced without removing the fender.

When the door is open, one bolt that is about half way down can be seen from the outside. If this bolt is removed I think that you can yank the ant thru the opening. I have to do the same job on my Regal so I'll let you know how it goes.

I bought a universal ant from a vendor on eBay some time ago. It has been sitting around my house since last fall. 🙂

I wounder If I can reverse power or something on my antenna motor to get her up.

I have an after market CD player in her, I bet the orig. owner never hooked it up right judging by the way his wiring looks from amp to subs in back......... :?: :!: :evil:

I'd call myself lucky if I were you since it stuck in the down position.
Mine was stuck in the up position, and then it broke off...

Mine is stuck up on my 84 and looks like crap... most newer radios are powerful enough to work with the antenna down.

I was outside tweaking at the auto tonight and also took a look at the antenna job. It actually looks like it will be a big job to do the replacement. I'll fill you in once it's in progress. It's next on my list once I finish the headliner replacement.

Cool, I'm starting on that once I get the Bulbs replaced in my dash so I can see how fast I'm going at night. Even though I don't pay much attention either way
