The upper bracket for the upper control arm is on an angle for a particular reason. The upper control arm has a 1.5" offset to compensate for the bracket's position on the frame. The set up is to prevent the front of the G body from diving when applying the brakes. The problem is if you want to drive your G body hard you can change the suspension components for performance parts but I have never seen any aftermarket parts to change the upper bracket so you can use even length upper control arms. In our circle tack G body we were not permitted to alter the suspension pick up points so we had to try to compensate the anti dive with our shocks but doing that didn't help the car exiting the corner or down the straight. For your car to rotate around a corner you want the front of the car to plant it's nose to and to leave it there until you are exiting the corner. The G body will pitch it's nose down when you hit the brakes but it fights to come back up. There is only one way to correct the anti dive and that is to remove the bracket and to weld a new bracket in it's place so you can used equal length upper control arms. I am surprised with the kits you can buy for the front end no one sells a bracket or even talks about the one thing that negatively effects the handling of these cars. The anti dive was installed in these cars to give the passengers a nicer ride, something most of us are not interested in.
