I'm completely stumped on this one. The plug in question has a heavy red wire, 2 green wires going to 1 pin, and a black wire. It's on the same loom as the alternator plug and the plug that connects the driver's side of the harness to the passenger's side. It's on an '85 Monte with the V6.

I'm thinking AC circuit connector that sits over the P/S valve cover or thereabouts.

Thats what I thought at first, but the car never had A/C. Did they use the same harness?

Do u still have v6 in car

No V6, I put a '93 350 out of a Caprice in it, but I used the V6 harness. It didn't have cruise either.

U don't need it mine isn't hook up an my car was running fine before I tore it back down

GM often included various options in the wiring harness to keep production costs down. Then if the car had the option it was as simple as connecting it up. You will find lots of those in the under-dash wiring harness.

looks like the connecter plug for a power antenna. normally tucks in between right fender and right side of h.v.a.c. box under hood hinge.
