It should work just fine. I gave my dad one for his Elco.

I've used the same model on my 83 Cutlass, 85 Cutlass, 94 Impala SS, and my 96 Caprice.

I used to install those back in the day. They do a good job of protecting the switch area and they do not require any on/off like a removable lock. They can be removed, but it's a bit of a pain; like anything though, it's more of a deterent than anything else. If they want the car, nothing will stop them. Well, maybe a bullet or a pitbull sitting in the car, lol.
