Anybody else worry about their t-tops getting stolen?

I'm not worried about someone stealing my t-tops. There's not that many t-top cars out there so the need isn't that great and I do have another set just in case. A friend of mine years back had t-tops in his Trans Am and he removed the handles and locked them in his glove box. He'd just slide the handle on when he wanted to remove the t-top and then place the handle back in his glove box.

He thought it was until he had removed the t-top and then when he put it back on he forgot to lock it down and without the handle there was nothing to remind him when he got back in his vehicle that the t-top wasn't latched. He had to back to the dealer to get a replacement and I don't know how he did it but he got it replaced under warranty....after that he painted a red line on the serrated shaft to show what position it the latches were in..

I have two sets sitting on my front porch and have no issues...lol. Then again, no one bothers me where I live despite the fact that I haven't had a hood on the car in 6 mos. I also leave my tool box in the bed of my truck all the time, and my big hydraulic jack has been stored in the driveway, in plain sight, for 10 years. It all depends on your neighborhood. I live in upper white trash central, and they tend to leave me alone.

just wondering if you still have everything after advertising it in here...

How much are a set going for lately? The reason I'm asking is because I was at a pick-pull yesterday and there was a cutlass with the big glass ttops.
