i just need to finish a friends 70 monte over the next two or three weeks then i can devote time to get my stock frame mounted and start cutting. plans are to lay body with a 3" stock floor bodydrop on 20s and either my 79 6.6l or my tpi350 from 91 iroc. once i get some progress on the frame i will figure out how to post some pics.

I have an 87 Monte ls with air bags, have bell tech drop spindels up front and I had the frame notched and the rearend narrowed to fit the 20x10 in the rear. I'll try to post some pics soon I just joined this forum but u can check me out at cardomain.com/ bagged87monte

Wow... Monte87Ls, your bagged Monte build is eerily similar to my bagged 84 Grand Prix. Btw your link is wrong, it should be http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3192643. Check out mine http://www.cardomain.com/ride/602491

By the way Monte87Ls, I noticed you replaced your radiator host with a stainless steel pipe. Is that safe? Doesn't the engine need to be able to move freely without being attached to the rad (because it needs some play) else it would damage the connection, pontentially causing leaks? Just wondering.

Back on topic though..... I have bagged and dropped my 84 Grand Prix, but I'm still waiting on my front wheels to get refnished before I can show what it looks like dropped. I had no problems during testing. I actually put in rubber bump stop at the rear, so as to be able to drop it all the way, and still be able to drive it without hitting the exhaust on the ground.

Are either one of these cars frames notched or just have mini tubs?

No tub and no notch on mine. Rear wheels are 15 x 10 with 195/50/15s and all I have is a fender modification. I had camaro fender lips welded into mine, as they allow for the tires go tuck into the fender well without any rubbing.
