Help! I'm in the process of converting to a Monte TBI in tank pump and ordered the Racetronix FPWH-009. At the fuel tank it terminates to a large 10 gauge red wire and a pink wire.

My question is I'm putting this in an 82 Regal that had a manual pump. I have a pink wire that comes from a loom near the tailights and plugs into a connection on the old sender. I assume this pink wire is for the fuel level sender.

I'm thinking I could plug the new pink into the pink wire at the loom and join the pink wire that goes to the new sender and it will energize the pump when I turn the ignition on? This sound right to anyone?

I know pink is for the sender/gauge. The pump needs 12v - not the same.

googled the part number...

Yeah I figured it out the other day....I shoulda just used the existing Summit wiring set I got with my Holley ext fuel pump. I just ran the pink to switched power at the fuseblock and connected the power to the alternator terminal. Now that my fuel pump is in the tank I can finally yank that noisy a$$ Holley off the side of my car.
