Anybody know about these cars with lift kits?

my buddys 84 regal has 20" wires on it and we used the stock springs off my 442 to lift it high enough to clear. it previously had v6 springs and has a sbc in it.
 
hey you definitely need block and spacer bro. My cutlass rubbed up front w/ 17'' /245 rubber but it wasnt bad enough to bother changing anything. And it didnt rub on outer area which is probably what your thinking, it rubs on inner when you turn full l / r !
 
on my 83 Cutlass I replaced the shocks and springs with factory spec replacements and have 22's with no clearance issues at all
 
as for the initial question, most of the cars with 24's and up have either added the cups under the springs or replaced the Spindles, Springs, and Shocks to allow more clearance, so if you find a good deal on a car you'd like that has a lift kit u could easily convert it back by removing those parts and putting the factory stuff back on it and I'm quite sure you could sale the aftermarket stuff to get your money back ;-)
