I need to remove the small windows on the driver and passenger side of my 80' Cutlass to repair some rust issues for a repaint. Anybody know where I can purchase a set of window seals with the Stainless Steal tube for my car? Here are a few picturesand thanks for any help you can offer!

Since you are into reproduction parts can you tell me if a 82' on up Cutlass door sweeps would work on a 78' by altering them as needed? When I look at my back quarter seal and the outer door sweep they look like they are made from the same piece. My thought has been buy a 82' on up sweep to use on my doors and custom form it to work as a rear quarter window seal. I have the small revel like the pic posted above and I believe G-body parts sells them. I am hoping I can use door sweeps for a 82' on up to solve the lack of after market parts for the 78' to 80' lines of Cutlass.

I know the 82' to 88' is where the high demand is but the 78' to 80' needs some love too. Stupid two year only models mucks it up and that is understandable. Some of us would kill for grills and rubber parts. Luckily interiors stayed the same for those years.

I know the sweeps are not interchangeable. Could they be modded?? Probably. I believe I have a pair in the basement. I'm currently in destin. Let me get home to check saturday

Thank man much appreciated. I know eventually I will just buy 82' on up sweeps and make them work. Biggest concern is if they as long as a 78' because if they are not I'm probably screwed. :|

Do you have the Stainless Tube trim for both windows, and the upright metal trim that is missing in the photo? I haven't taken the windows out and am not sure if those SS tube's are just a simple trim item and conventional adhesive rubber seal like a windshield would use. Let me know when you have time, thanks!

I bet they are the same. The roofline 78-88 is the same across all models.

yea, I have all of that even the gasket moldings for the interior plastic trims.

I decided to buy a GM Parts manual (77'-81' Oldsmobile Parts Manual) for my 80' Cutlass off of E-pay. Now I'll have the GM part numbers for the window trims. I figure maybe I'll get lucky and find a set getting dusty on a shelf some where. Gonna try that avenue first, if no luck there either I'll have to buy a set of the wide trim style from tobyp.

Got my manual in this week and drummed up the GM numbers for the parts I need.

3065346--Qtr Mldg Lwr RH
3065347-- " " " LH
20066355--QTR Mldg Frt RH
20066356-- " " " LH
(2) of 3080782--QTR Window Upper Mldg

Now the search is on to find them all.......
