anyone know how to remove this shifter handle?

On the ft side of the handle there should be a horizontal slot ,there is a staple like clip in the slot,use a small hook tool or screwdriver to remove the clip then just pull the handle off.

thats what i thought too but i checked all over it and im 100% sure its not that type, my friend has a monte ss and thats how it works bit i was thinking maybe the metal piece twists off or something but i didnt want to dick it up or anything. or maybe it doesent come off at all? cuz the shifter plate thing can come off without pulling it. anyone else know?

That's what I would have thought as well. Does that chrome piece on the bottom thread off at all? If so, perhaps there are some clues under that on how to release it?

eeeh it was fairly well on there and i didnt want to mar it up trying to pull it off just to find out it doesent even come off. i was thinking either it slides off or threads off. anyone? anyone?

Yea thier are no screws or clips holding on the handle its just a knurl on the shaft of the shifter and the handle presses on if u pull it off it will NOT go back on correctly and just start popping off by itself... I ended up puttin a set screw in the front side of mine.

Hang on there let me see if I still have my factory shifter the handle is off it anyway if i do U can have it just pay shipping or idk how far up in NH u are but im on like the mass border in ct on 91

i think on that type u have to take the material off to get the clip holdin it on.. i had one like that before
