If anyone near Louisville, KY has with engine diagnostic and repair skills has the time and ability, I'm sure you could help a fellow forum member in trouble.

David purchased a Cutlass, installed a 350 SBC and has gotten himself to the point where he can't keep the car running.
Many of us have been offering suggestions and advice, but the situation has gone from bad to worse.

From his descriptions and videos, members have suggested a number of possible problems including poorly adjusted valves, wiped out cam lobe(s), a skipped timing chain, bad head gaskets, carb/fuel delivery issues and ignition system failures.

David apparently has limited diagnostic equipment and tools.
He has certainly been asking for help with almost every step of his diagnostic and repair efforts.
Is anyone close to David and willing to help?

Here is a link to his profile page: http://gbodyforum.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=8328
Contact him via PM.

Hopefully there is someone close to his location (Louisville, KY 40214 near downtown) who is willing and able to help.
Thanks for your consideration!
JoeT

Thank you so much this means the world to me.
I hope someone does come help I have tried everything but giving that I am nowhere near a "mechanic" I try and try to fix it myself but get nowhere.
But I am just wanting badly to keep the car cause I love it yet I want to sell it cause I have no more income to keep the car and fix it.
But if someone were to come over and help me fix/fix or get me in the right direction I could help you with a little cash for your assistance and drive.

Again thank you so much JMT455.

Looks like a rich carb and horrible timing. Its obviously not running on all 8, it doesnt scream heads or head gaskets to me, if it were leaking bad enough to make it run that bad it would be draining or putting pressure in your coolant system and dumping it on the ground. Thats just my opinion. Run it for a while and then check the plugs. Get most any car manual or look on the net and it will give you a discription of what a healthy plug looks like. If they are all caked and wet its probably a gasket, but im betting its not

This is the epitome of what this forum is about....kudos to you jmt455, and good luck to you David. Cool 84dragcutlass that you may be able to help him.
