got these from jegs
86121 - Dynomax Cyclone Ceramic-Coated Headers
(these are the ones they use for the entire exhaust system they sell)
link:http://www.jegs.com/i/Dynomax/289/86121/10002/-1

so they came in and on 1st inspection it doesnt look like they are going to fit the passenger side, and if they do it looks like they are gonna be close, really close to the a/c box.
anyone used these,or know someone who has?
did i pick up the wrong ones?

i did post this in another section with no luck to a responce.
hoping someone here may know befor i go to stick these in and have a nightmare.

there is no diff between the clearance on a wagon vs coupe it is the same

so they are going to fit?

if you ordered them for a 78/88 malibu then yes

the ones i ordered specify these cars:
Cyclone Ceramic-Coated Headers
1976-88 Monte Carlo SS, 1978-80 Century & 1978-87 Regal, Chevelle, El Camino, Cutlass, Grand Prix, LeMans with 305-350

i was pretty sure the el camino was pretty similar, when i ordered them i specifically asked if they would fit this car and the guy at jegs said, yes these fit all gm cars with the 305/350 sbc from like 78 - 88
when they arrived thats what they say on the box as well for that part number 78 -88 gm passenger car long tube coated headers.

awesome
thats what i was looking for was some reassurance i guess
i know looks can sometimes be decieving, just wanted someone to say they will fit

thx guys!

i don't mean to jack the thread or anything, but since we're on the subject of headers, my folks got a 79 buick century wagon w/a 3.8. anyone know of some "economy" headers for that aplication?

the only 3.8 headers i know of are from pacesetter, they're not that expensive.

hooker USE to make headers for the 3.8 and if you can find a set they'll most likely be used but probably worth buying unless they're abused.

go to ebay and do a search for "buick 3.8 headers" there is a set of short style headers ive not seen before. they're block hugger style. not sure who makes those but those most likely will work.

Did they work?

I think I have those same headers. I had to put them from under the car, but they fit like a glove....
