So, I was at work today, and realized I may have made a major faux pas.
You see, I'm a new member, just joined this week. I've watched and used forums for solutions to problems, and to find answers for whatever I happened to be working on in the past, but had never joined one for whatever reason.
Earlier this week, I decided I wanted to be part of GBF and joined up. However, in my excitement, I just started posting pics on my build thread, contributing to topics, etc not realizing that it was kind of like walking in off the street uninvited to a house party, and helping myself to a beer!
Introductions need to be made, and trust needs to be earned, and I goofed in my haste, not even announcing my arrival in the new members forum.
So, in short, this is my apology to the members of GBF. It's already obvious that GBF is a tight knit community, and I want you all to know that I'm genuine in my desire to become a part of it.
So, I'm posting this in the general discussions forum for all to see, hopefully you can forgive my little blunder.
My name is Donovan, I'm located in Canada, and I nicknamed the car "The Juggernaut". (A divorce and a couple career altering layoffs couldn't stop the progress!)
It's a 1980 Olds Cutlass Calais, I've owned, raced, and shown it from 1993 to 2008, when I parked it to completely overhaul everything on it.
I'm a die hard Olds fan, and a G body lover. I believe I have things to offer, but I don't know everything and I'm hoping you guys can help me with that in the future.
So there it is. Please accept my apology for my rookie mistake, and hopefully you'll accept me into the G body fold.
Looking forward to establishing many friendships here,
Sincerely, Donovan (Handle: Rktpwrd)

Welcome! And absolutely no apology needed. I've checked out your thread and love your car. You clearly have some skills (and patience) to get it to the point where it is.

Basically what they said. You're fine. Welcome aboard. :friday:

Welcome to the site. As stated above, no problem. What part of Canada are you in?
Thanks guys, I appreciate your acceptance, it's nice to be part of the G movement. I'm located in Calgary, AB btw.

Welcome aboard Donovan.
As the other guys said, there's absolutely no apology needed. I'm sure you have much to offer as far as your expertise is concerned. You're more than welcome to the party...have a beer, kick back. and feel free to join in the fun.
