I have seen two accredited appraisers reports on two different vehicles.
Although they report on components details and general condition of items I don't feel they look very close at small details. On one Monte I found a bubble on the rocker, minor passenger door denting and wavy panel, rusty crack in the painted door hinge areas and rust around the door latch pin, oil soaked timing chain cover and dried and cracked pin striping.
Another car there were unreported shallow denting, rust inside trunk and sagging door hinges that were not reported. Also an obvious repaint was not noted.
Both appraisals were recent.
So really, how closely do they inspect cars. To me it seems like a lot of bs to satisfy clients.
