I wanna run 315-35-17s on the back of my wagon, I have seen a few G-body 2-doors run them by notching the frame, but I just took some basic measurements and from what I can see the tires would extend inward just about beyond the entire existing frame?? Anybody know if wagon frames are different than 2-doors? Thanks!

Anybody on here put 315s on a wagon?

Yes and no. No the wheelbase is the same as a 2 door. Only the El camino has a longer wheelbase. But the driver side rear portion of the frame rail behind the wheel is different. The driver side was kicked out an additional 1/2 inch to allow room for the fuel tank. Fuel tank location is different on the wagons.

If I'm understanding then I have 1/2" less to notch the frame inward?

The spare is under the floor near the tailgate, pass. side, fuel tank next to it on driver's side.

A body rear in those years it is 4.5" wider, JBrue is running a 12 bolt with that width...I have a 67 8.2 rear end which is 2.5" wider

that 1970 rear end must be shorter than what you normally find on that car. You'll find online forums about guys with 68-72 chevelles changing out their 10 bolts for a 1970 12 bolt out of a 1970 Monte cause it's the same width and installs without any mods...and you'll also find online different sites with the measurements of the G body rear and the rear end of the 64-67 Chevelle and 68-72 Chevelle

my measurements are with both rears out on jack stands with the pinion down, either your information is flawed or you read the info wrong. i have many friends with BOP and chevy a bodies they are all the same i have had monte carlos since 85 and played with most a and g body cars :blam:
