1.0" bore master cylinder

I do not recommend a step bore master cylinder which came on almost all 1982-1997 GM vehicles.

The 1990 B-Body vacuum booster is an upgrade along with the 1.0" bore master cylinder listed above.

I think I will do the 90 Caprice booster and master as a set like suggested. Both together from advanced are less than $140.

I used the 90's B body booster with the factory G body master...no issues. For the rear disk brake converstion I swapped out the prop valve with one from an 1985 Seville with rear disks.

So I’m going to get that master but keep my original booster. now my question is about the prop valve, I even need one now if I have a disc/disc master? I’ve seen some guys just gut their original.

Do NOT make a lot of changes at once. If you already have the rear disc setup on, just replace the master cylinder first and then sort out any issues that might come up (Low pedal, hard pedal, etc). These things might not come up, but you only want to rule out the few changes you made.

If you find that your rear pads are dragging on the rotor after the rear disc and new master cylinder swap, then replace the prop valve with a disc/disc version.
A LOT of people are still running the stock prop valve with rear disc brakes with no issues.

Roger that. I have the stock prop valve in now and no brake drag on the rear, they spin free in the air. I will upgrade the master and see what happens. Thank you!
