Well now I know who swiped the car out from under me, I had plans to pick up this Saturday to make a drag car out of it with my Dad's crusty '78 but instead it got parted :?

Just FYI.....it didnt get parted. I would never part this car in the condition that it was in. And, I told Dan this. This car was traded over to a forum member Iam2fast4u and he is planning to have it on the road driving soon. I did not have the space to resore it right now because of the current project. Bobby does, so Bobby got the car. I like the guy and he will treat the car with as much passion as anyone. He has great plans for it.
I appreciate that Toby and yes this car is destined for great things. While it may be a frankenstein of parts by the time I am done with it, I think it will have some of the coolest interior/trim options of the 78-80 Olds line. FYI 88hurstolds if you are looking for a 79 shell to turn into a race car I have one here that would be a perfect candidate.

The car is now getting scrapped, we are both pissed at the fact that the seller failed to contact me first when we had a deal lined up if all he needed was a stupid frikin deposit.
Complete bullshit...

At this point I'm about ready to sell everything I own and get out of this hobby, it's no longer fun or enjoyable for me.

Mike, I contacted this man off of Craigslist with an actual phone number. This was not my fault that I was able to secure a deposit from physically talking with the man. THis man was also working two jobs, and going through a divorce, taking care of his two kids...etc. Put yourself in his shoes, it must have been difficult to carry on with personal thinngs let alone with trying to visit forums and answer PMs.

I think you should contact Bobby as he has many items you would need to finish the car you had explained to me. However, If by me getting a car and getting it to Bobby and letting him finish a car 90% done makes this so unenjoyable to you, you should definately hang up the shoes.

Did the car have any other good usable light blue trim,or door panels? My interior is this color, and I need a lot of stuff.....

No, this part came from another car but I have a ton of other items that are for the 78-80

I need door panels, upper and lower, these are the style I need.....mine had two 6" speaker holes cut into them, and left lower is missing, right is crumbly, and so is the rear quarter trim. I need inner door handles and screws, and the rod assembly for the drivers door....and a steering column. Guess when they stole it,they just took speakers and door rods/handles...lol. Here's the uppers I need, and below are the ones I have now.

Nice seats, I've never seen the vinyl material Brogham seats...hope Toby can help ya out, 78-79 light blue is hard to come by around here...only light blue parts I have laying around is a upper console section.

I do have a '79 with buckets and floor shifter at my local Pull-a-part,no console, and steering column was there last week, now it's gone. They did have some pretty strange color/patterns in the early Cutty's,like the Mojave.....here's the one at the boneyard, check out the original diamond tuck.

Nice. Surprised no one has got those seats yet, the drivers could be fixed relatively easy I would think..those cloth or vinyl? Yeah, the 78-80 did have some cool interior designs...I've actually got a set of vinyl buckets from a 79, but they have the straight line patten...if u run across one of those that isn't wore out, let me knw..one of more bottom sections isn't that great
