ideal backspacing is 4", 4.5 may work it may not work. again ideal is 4".

now to me those tires look too narrow for those rims. as far as spacers go you would need a 1.75" spacer to achieve 4" backspacing but that combo may stick out of the wheel wells. personally id sell them and find something appropriate.

Yeah man I second that, i'd dump those wheels and tires, they won't be worth the hassle with so many other options easily available. Those rims aren't meant for a muscle that's why the backspacing is so huge, and those tires are defniately stretched, which is also a euro look. I'd definately look for some new wheels and tires.

I don't think you need spacers that thick. The max backspacing you can run on a G-body is 5.5" I think. Your wheels are just over that. Even in the pictures they appear to be touching the frame just enough to case a problem. Maybe a 1/2" spacer will get you by (I hate or spacers), or the extreme ultimatum of notching the frame.

I agree with the 4" measurement, BUT that normally applies to wheels which have a tire shoulder that sticks out far more than the wheel. In your case the wheel flange is the widest part of the wheel / tire package, so 4 1/2" to 4 3/4" seems more like ideal if you're gonna be stretching those little tires over the wheels. First of all, did you actually measure the backspacing or are you just guessing? Wheel and tire fitment is too critical to guess.
I would buy or borrow one spacer, sized to get you 4 1/2" to 4 3/4" BS and start trial fitting on each corner. Cycle the suspension up and down (use a jack on the opposite side for the down part) and cycle the steering, looking for issues.

BTW, your tire choice looks kinda scary to me, but that doesn't mean I won't try to help. I'd recommend looking at the tire sidewall for the load capacity of the tire. Anything under about 1400 lbs., which is the load capacity of the OEM 195/75 x 14 tire, would be considered unsafe in my opinion.

thanx guys.im pretty sure the bs is 5.75 but ill double check.what about the front???i had guys tellin me no way 10" wide wheels will fit the front properly.....BTW guys i really really like this style wheel i know they made them in 18x8 but u cant find these wheels anymore.....if u can let me know!!

10" up front will be fine if just going strait. most likely lose a good amount of turning ability due to the tire hitting the frame and the inner plastic fender well. almost bought a set of 4 10" wide rims but everyone said no go on the front. 8 would prob be the widest you want to go

I fit 15X10's all around on my gp. I did have to clearance the plastic and inside fender edge in the front, but they fit just fine. I do not remember the backspacing, wish I would have written it down somewhere. I ran 245/60/15 on the front and 275/60/15 on the rear. The rears would touch slightly if I hit a turn on the hard side, but trimming the rear inner edge would have solved that issue too.

just for future reference to anyone seeking 10' wide... most of us are firm believers in cragar and anyone whos ever bothered cragar seems to hate selling wheels with supremely negative back spacing.... or for lack of better terms, dish... so just for anyone who cares i did find this website on my travels one day looking at wheels for my datsun... http://www.diamondracingwheels.com they seem to specialize in 10" cragar look a likes with dish...

as for you if you wanna fit the wheels nicely go out and buy longer studs and a nice thick spacer from da internetz... 1 1/2" should be good but you will need a good half inch longer stud and thats if your using flat lug nuts... if those rims use conical youd probably need another inch on the stud

got the front wheels on and clearance is good.now i gotta order some wheel spacers for the rear....here go some pics
