Hey guys! I need a little input here...
So I've got this new manual trans setup for my El Camino. The bell housing has a hole for the ball stud to thread into for the clutch fork. I'm using a hydraulic clutch. I'm assuming that hole needs to be plugged, right :?: Do I just throw a ball stud in there, or is there a specific plug for it?
I'm a nooB when it comes to manuals

I took mine out and didn't plug it. I have the T5 WC is that matters. When you say your using hydraulic I assume you are talking about the throw out bearing.

I was just worried about the small chance of any road debris getting into there.
And your assumption is correct

I have that opening and the opening for the fork open with just the braided hose for the throw out bearing goin thru it and I haven't had any issue with debris ending up in the bell housing. You could always put a piece of aluminum tape or duck tape over the hole if you're concerned though. What brand of bearing are you going to use?

Thanks for the input.
Everything I ordered is from keisler, I figured I'd go easy on myself and buy a kit. Had to sneak in one big purchase before my lil man is born and the wife takes over the finances 😀
