Not to mention his truck was an 08......the 5.9 Cummins in the same body style (early 07 and previous) would not have had DPF from the factory......and the 03-04 era trucks had no factory cat. So from an emmissions standpoint, this truck is likely not practically different than an earlier year Cummins powered Dodge (everything else being the same). Yet many are cheering on the NJ Dept of Environmemtal Protection (Gestapo) to crush his truck.

DEF crap came out in 2014/15 if I remember right. I almost bought a 2013 6.7l Cummins truck and that was the last year of no DEF, if not last close to it.

Some people just hate those who don't like the government over reach and cheer for the gov to crush the independent little guy...

I run into this any time I try to explain that the consequences for drinking and driving (at least up here) are a ridiculous cash grab hiding behind a heinous crime. Bleeding someone dry of money over 3 years typically just pisses them off, and doesn't teach them a lesson. You want it to stop? Make the consequences make sense. First offence - 24hr suspension, reasonable fine. Second offence - suspend license for 10+ years, or a lifetime of having a breathalyzer interlock in their car.

Unfortunately, people stop listening after the first sentence and just chalk me up as an angry drunk driver.

Well, what keeps me from doing that is the roughly $10k cost and my job impact, but not everyone thinks the same.

But you didn't insult him specifically (see quote below). As I pointed out earlier....I am the "kind of dumbass that buys an emission deleted vehicle". I would say a large percentage of this forum are "dumbasses" that meet your description.

then let me spell it out for you....
