I've done a few things to it have'nt been on any fourms in a while to post anything till yesterday. Almost have the A/C buttoned up on it, fixed the missing wiring harness for the fan to work on high, new o rings and other parts, pulled a vacuume on it and it held. Then tested the compressor before i charged the system but it would'nt engauge. i have a new one to swap it may or may not work out cause it's for a truck, but now it's too cold to work on it outside. Put blue led's in the dash, i think it looks cool. Put a new radiator on it , and a trans cooler. Fixed the steering column and swapped the ignition lock now my horn works it's been nearly 20 years since it has worked. Bought a set of Holley cast valve covers for it and a finned breather, the covers had a black wrinkle finish, i decided i wanted polished covers so i got to work and work i did, then painted the parts AMC blue to match the engine. Going to use a protectent and probably buy a new carb before i install them. They look dull, but i've had my oily hands on them a few times they shine very well when wipped down.

Fixed all the loose steering columns in my rides running or not, did a few little things to my 85 C10 project also. It will have a 454 / 700R4 in it sometime this year i hope. I have a lot of work to do and a lot of parts to buy, too many projects not enough time n money.

Like the mirror, what did you get it off of?

20 years without a horn, WOW! Thats a whole lot of flipping people the bird lol!!!
I like the rearview mirror upgrade. Modern and useful upgrades like this are nice in older cars. I have a mirror I need to swap into my SS. Its the one with just a compass and map/courtesy lights though because its a t-top and I can use the extra lighting upfront.
Thanks for the motavation.

Thanks guys, the mirror is a ebay buy, have no idea what it's out of. I got another out of the junkyard off a 1998 or so tahoe almost same part, but when you get one out of the yard you will need to get a 4-6 in pigtail when you cut the harness for it and don't forget the temp sensor, It's usually behind the grill and only has two wires you will need to run a pos wire to the fuse block so it is only hot when the ignition switch is on and of course a ground. I have also installed a couple rearviews that looks like the one in the pic but only have map lights in them with the old manual dim ,but i can see a lot better at night when i open the doors, wired them to my dome light.

Thanks for the info. I actually just picked up a mirror like that, and got the temp sensor and pig tail with plug for it off Amazon new.

You can find those mirrors in 90's Cadillacs. I have one for my GP that I've yet to install. I think they're a nice addition in our cars too.

I agree!

Well, this has been my latest project to get goin, lot of new parts and used was supposed to be a drop in and get it going cheap quick fix but we all know how that goes. It's a 85 GMC longbed 454/350, my ugly "Shop Truck" my brother named "Biscuit Lip" (see the front bumper) It was running and ran good too, had a lot of problems with starters got a mini starter, it fixed the prob, now I know why I had starter problems the thrush bearing is worn out and the cranks "walking". So now I get to pull it out and start over, shame it held 40 psi oil press at 160 degrees but I have two other 454's! Someone had added aftermarket air conditioning on it, it's all there except the compressor, well the 454 had the compressor and brackets so the other day I bolted it up to see if the hose fittings were correct they fit! Later on that day was when I figured out the problem i'd been having with starters, I didn't even get to test drive it on the road,at least I didn't get stranded somewhere.
