my vote would lean toward the 427...
no offense to the ls engines, they're abundant,cheap, and great for making cheap horsepower, but everyone and their brother are putting them in their cars. we've become the v-8 version of the ricer's v-tec....
the 427 is a great motor(albiet, expensive to build), lots of power, and frankly, something you don't see every day!
