Are Goodyear Eagle GTII's still available with raised white letter? I heard they weren't . . .

Cooper Cobra RWL. Have them on my S-10 now and they will be going on my Cutlass later.

I agree, so I voted for white letters. And i'm coming up with 24.63 inches in diameter for the 225/60/14 so that would be quite a bit shorter than the rears.

first of all you lost an inch by going with a 14' wheel, what you need to do is go to the tire shop and compare the 2 wheels side by side and you'll see quite a difference... IMO I've never like the mastercraft brand (not to say anything wrong) but of the 2 brands I am partial to BFG's they have that hot rod look ... good luck

really?? thats bad news for me even though i do have 4 new ones i like them and i guess i have to wear them evenly because replacing in pairs isn't an option if they are discontinued

i guess the only other white wall option i would consider would be bfg's. i do like like raised white letters but you wouldn't see me doing them with dunlops or yokohamas or something

I voted black wall. easier to maintain, if you accidentally rub a curb they still look good, and mainly because like you said, it's hard to find good white letters in good sizes now days.

I'm kinda torn with what to tell you.
The 442's rolled off the assembly line with white-letter tires, so that's what I stuck with on mine.
I also like the subdued look of a plain black sidewall too.
Get a couple pictures side by side to compare and see what you like best.

And what's the problem with BFG Radial T/A's? I have a set on my wagon and am happy with them...

.....to add to my post above...my wagon had the white letter with the Olds rallyes, but the white letter wouldn't look good with the GTA's on it now.....just my thoughts, on my cars.....if you like white letter, do it, if you like blackwall, do it. Ultimately, it is your car, your likes, and most of all....your money. Do what you like.
Ya got a gbody, so ya can't go wrong, either way! 8)

My vote is for the white letters. Just something about the white letters and muscle cars seems right to me.

Agreed, and BFG's are THE classic muscle car tire 🙂 I've run them exclusively on my Monte for years and they are a great street tire IMO. The only other brand that looked good in RWL was Goodyear Eagles, but as mentioned, I don't think they are an option anymore. It depends on the look you're going for and what type of wheels you have, but most cars with 14/15" wheels look better with RWL tires to me. Custom wheels and larger diamters typically work better with blackwall tires. I like stock wheels, and I think they benefit from RWL's.

I agree that you should go with 15's all around, or 14's if you have to - staggered diameter wheels look like you couldn't find a whole set.
