Hey I found a set of 2002 S-10 Blazer Knuckles spindles and brakes. Gonna go get them tomorrow from what I understand these will bolt on to my 79 Elco.

They are 4x4 spindles but that shouldn't matter right? I think the only difference is the splined center.

What else will I need other than new wheel studs?

Also, will the dual piston calipers fit under my N90 wheels?

4x4 spindles have a different offset than the 2wd as well the bearing housing is diff ( hole in the middle to mount the 1/2 shaft )

Sorry

Yup 4x4 are an no go.

So that would cure my tire rub at full lock and increase the scrub radius? Might have to trim my front fender as well. BTW I have a 2.5" lift on the front.

From what I could find the 4x4 had a 50mm offset while the 4x2 had 0mm so ~2" farther out.

My real concern is the location of the steering connections so that it still has a very similar steering geometry. I doubt that GM would design 2 different knuckles. From what information I find by looking at the A-Arms the 4x4 arms are longer than the 4x2 thus justifying the greater positive offset. Still a lot of unknowns. They prolly won't fit but I want to know for sure what the difference is.

Does anybody know where I could find a picture of the two different knuckles?

I looked at LSCustoms thread on the bigger brakes and it's pretty clear now that the lower ball joint could not be in the same position for 4x4 spindles so I'll do what I should have all along and admit that they won't work.

Thanks for saving me from throwing away some cash.
