Blower motor stuck on

Today I removed the old A/C heater box and installed a factory NON-A/C heater box. There are 3 wires to the blower motor. Orange, Yellow, Light Blue. It seems it has 3 speeds as well........Low, Med, High. It looks like looking at the control panel off should be in the middle....High to the top.....and Low to the bottom. Only 2 speeds. What is suppose to be correct? If I unplug the yellow wire it turns off to the bottom.....Low in the Middle and High to the top. What is correct?

There is no "off" position. Only High, Med and Low.

When I turn the car off It stays running. It will run the battery dead.

Well I can help you take a look at it when I swing by later this week... we can use my wagon as a reference.
