Why would you want to lift a GBody? Find something that is 4x4. It should be a crime to do that to a car!

Probably needs to make room for the 24's ....
Yeah, well don't forget to put mud flaps on it. Not only is that a huge waste of money your going to need a lot of gear to make up for the 32" Tires your running; not to mention how illeagle it is. Bumper height in most states is based off of GVWR. You'll be a cop magnet!

Great comments all and even better assumptions.
First, I would never EVER put those stupid big rims on an Elky. EVER! Next, Whats a crime is dropping an Elky, even its only a couple of inchs. It is a truck right? Whats wrong with lifting the body 2"? Personally I think it adds character, looks meaner and sets it apart from any other Elky around. Just my opinion but I think I'm going back to elcaminocentral, I'm too old for this

BTW Chevy85.... 15X8 Cragers

I still fail to see the point of lifting a car running on normal tires which does not go off road. It does no good. It does not look tough, it looks silly. Dropping it has technical merit in that it lowers aerodynamic drag, and the center of gravity, thus improving handling. Making a lowrider lacks technical merit, but an inch or two lower does not. If it is hauling large loads you wish, an El Camino is not an ideal vehicle for the job due to it's weak axle design and lack of leaf springs.

85 Cutlass,

Thanks for the constructive criticism, well taken.
Here is my Elky, I just posted the car to my web site.

BTW, you need to take the "," at the end of your myspace link, if you click it, it comes up a dead link unless you manually delete the comma.
