Just curious to know if the poly style body mounts ruin the ride? Should I just get the stock style or are the poly ones worth it...poly ones are cheaper, but I'm not one to skimp on quality for a cheaper price. Has anyone ever installed the poly ones?

I prefer poly. Ive never tried new rubber vs new poly, only old rubber vs new poly. Body roll is reduced, confidence is gained in steering and braking, ride quality does not suffer. Solid mounts will cause the ride quality to suffer though.

solid ones also creates rattles and squeaks...lots of them.

as far as poly bushings like everything else there are cheap versions of them so make sure you get a good quality product. I got new body mount bolts at Spaenaur

If cost is not an issue.

I have heard of people using a mix of rubber and poly.

Position 1 poly
Postion 2 thru 4 factory rubber
Position 5 thru 7 poly

This is supposed to isolate the rider from road noise and still improve ride quality/handling.

When I finally do my wagon this is how I plan to do it.

May even use a few solids (position 6 & 7) all the way at the back since I can tow with it.

If you were towing you may want to use rubber rather than solid. Since the hitch gets mounted to your frame and not the body, you dont need structural support of the bushings, and since the hitch will be mounted in that area it will transfer noise/vib from the trailer into the frame, and if you have solids it may transfer it into the body more than otherwise would. Dont know that result as fact but just my educated guess.

I'm going with solids when I redo mine. I can't see the ride being any more harsh than a unibody car.

Exactly. Its the suspension that absorbs the bumps and jolts from driving. I know plenty of people that have added solid mounts and didn't have any problems.

if your going to go with solid mounts then I suggest you at least box the frame and redo the factory welds. I don't know how many of you have had the chance to work with the G body frames but they are real flimsy. I have a frame sitting that'll be used for a circle track car and without it being boxed I can lift the rear corner a foot or so without disturbing the 3 other corners. If you stand on the C section of the frame without it being boxed it will fold...and along with upgrading the frame look up shotgun's posts regarding body braces

That's good advice. After boxing my frame in completely you can do like you mentioned above but it will pick up the rest of the frame now that its boxed.
