Hi,

Well this is awkward but ya.... I was on a road trip on the highway 4 days ago and while I was driving, I started to hear weird clicking noises.
Sounded like loose metal or a sheet of metal flipping in the wind, it became loud and stopped.
I stop, I checked the car everything seemed fine. So I took off again. And it repeated itself again and again. I thought that something must be stuck on under the car or maybe one of my trim is vibrating.

When I got home I started to look under the car.....I lost the body mount bolts 3,4,5 and 6 on both sides.

So here is my question, since I lost the bottom part of the mount with the bolts, does anyone have a trick to fix this...lol I called GM and they say the bolts and mounts are not in the listing anymore.. I could shop around for them.
But the real problem is buying a new mount kit just for the bottom part.

I found those on ebay...but they look like single pieces. Aren't those suppose to be 2 parts?
(look at the attached picture)

Anything you can throw my way guys, right now the car is loose as ....as a loose you know what (rated R)

I don't think you lost the body bolts. The common problem is that they rust and break off. The job will probably be a lot more than replacing the bushings and bolts.

Hmm, I know the previous owner did a bit of frankensteining with it when he did the restoration. (When I bought the car , the whole power window system was wired with speakers wire lol)
But the bolt breaking seems possible.
Thanks for the warning. I'll check it out to be sure. But I have my doubt, the whole body frame was redone less than 6 years ago, it would be really crappy bolts

in that case I would remove a bolt that is still there to see if the metric bolts were used or if they were changed to SAE. I would try that bolt in each of the missing locations to make sure the thread is the same.

Sounds good!
