I've tried searching, however seems I can't find a good thread with all of the books to assist with upgrades and improvements on our vehicles. A lot of talk on authors which is great but I have not been able to track down more specifics of where our vehicles are discussed in which books.

If anyone has a good list or willing to post up some specifics it would be great.

Thanks,

Montec

There's this one:

Deals with a lot, including suspension and LS swap stuff. Other than that I don't think there are any others that are that specific.

I just seen that one and am working on getting that.

I seen some references to others on a few threads, but never seen the names of the books they referred to before that one was released.

Even if the book only has a couple pages related to the G-body would be great.

I've been tinkering with mine since the day I've gotten it(just over 20yrs), never got into the performance or tuning of the suspension. Can do plenty with the motor and trans changes so was looking to expand my horizon, as now this thing has enough power that stability is something I need to greatly work on.

there is a vendor here UMI who fabricates and manufactures suspension parts for the G body. They have their own Green Machine that they test their parts on and they are happy to help out. There isn't many books out there for performance suspension that I have found but the guys on this forum have posted just about anything you want to try.

Welcome.

Check Mark Savitske's book How to Make your Musclecar Handle. It has some good G body specific stuff.

You can also ask your questions here in the suspension section and we will help you out.

You're going to want to add some good springs and shocks, get some sway bars a little larger, and do some upper a-arms that add caster.

Ditto what Ramey said in post #7. The project in the thread "Our 1979 Monte Carlo Pro Touring Project" (Green Machine as stated in post #6) by UMI is a very good write up. There is a thread (a sticky) over on Pro-Touring.com by SSLance. His project "Need A Little Help Figuring Something Out", is also a very good write up. It's in the suspension topic in General Technical.
