Picked up a 1987 Buick Regal Limited with the sport trim package(blacked out trim) with a new th350 transmission and a 350 small block chevy. Running RPO code list to find out more right now. This car will be the new Project GNX Clone as the body is in better condition overall with only minor rust on the driver side rear quarter. Does have a dark blue interior, only drawback, power everything. Nice car for a 1000 dollars. Should hit the paint booth within 3 weeks. Doesnt have a vinyl top so I dont have to rework that. More pics to come soon. Enjoy the pics below.

Interesting. Can't wait to see what you do with it keep us posted.

why is power everything a drawback? I love my brougham for that matter, it's a must have...i make fun of people who have newer cars but still have to roll down the window by hand

Not too bad for a grand. She does need some TLC, but solid metal in the Midwest is hard to come by.

As far as the blue guts, I would think that changing it over to something more desirable such as grey or the GN style interior wouldn't be THAT hard to do.

I have a pair of buckets out of an '89 Firebird that I plan on using when I find a Cutlass. They look more sporty than the Ol' folks couches the Cuttys and Regals received back in the day.

It has been a LONG time ago, but I remember a 78 or 79 Cutlass that I happened across with a manual trans that someone had used the center console out of an 87 -92 Firebird along with the buckets and it looked pretty damn good in there. Just some thoughts....Good Luck! 8)

Nice Regal!!!! I would imagine that you can still get Regal body parts in the junkyard. It looks like a nice project. Whatever color you choose for the interior, make sure it's full velour. A friend of mine had an '84 Regal with burgundy int./ext. and that full velour interior was sooooooo sweet.

I live in NJ and cannot find anything in yards for regals.. if I do find anything it is the typical and common parts that are almost interchangeable with other g bodies.(beat up seats, washer bottles, a steering column) . Most yard junk them right away because they are so rusted out, it's not worth for them to pay a worker to take things out.. I know, I asked around, show me some doors and decent trunk lids.seatbelt and retractors in decent shape, headlight bezzels not cracked.. then we are talking... otherwise. Everything else usually have to be shipped from somewhere else. Then if it can interchange with a GN.. BOOM the $$$ went up... That's what I am running into right now.
Northeastern winters and highway salt are the g bodies enemy more than any blue oval.. that new liquid road de-icer stuff is even worse for the bottom of vehicles.. I had picked up two 86 Regals (rotted out) and had to hybrid parts off of each one just to make something worth working on.. Now in the garage.. getting ready to do it the way the V8 version was supposed to be.. 454. 8-71. Mini's and skinnies. That 307 can't even keep up with some of the 4 cylinders today.

Sorry about the slight negativity.. It was easier and cheaper to rebuild my 22 year old Mustang.. I know I know.. that they are a dime a dozen..
I wanted a GN but cannot touch a real nice one without paying major $$, So I'll build me a Blown BBC/Regal Rocket!! Customize it the way I want.. but the rust repairs are starting to get to me.

I wanted two stock rivals in the same garage.. but obviously.. they will have to be two modified rivals.. Just as sweet.. don't get me wrong..

Didnt some of these limiteds come with the nice 8.5 posi? Silver goes nice with blue interiors. Actually, the blue that the original limited regals came with was really really nice too! 8)
