Brake Combination valve help!!!

What is the purpose of the combination valve and how do you reset it when it sticks out?

Try this trick open both front bleeder screws at least 1 turn ( cover them to protect your paint or put some vac hose on them ) and mash the brake pedal to the floor hard and then let the pedal back up then close off your left front screw and gravity bleed the Rt front till there is no air and close it off and gravity bleed the Left front good . I usually works the 1st time but you need to try it 2x's and you can do it by yourself just make sure the master cyl is full and you have some more fluid you might have to leave your master cyl lid loose or off "after" you mash the pedal to get it to gravity bleed good.

By the way it is also called a proportioning valve and it equalizes the fluid pressure between the front and rear brakes .

My fronts are good its the drums that are kicking my butt

As long as your wheel cylinders are good ? If you do what I described above it will usually reset the prop valve , do you have a low pedal and it feels like only one set of brakes are working (front or rear )? Then try this or try to be more specific as to what the problem you are having is and FYI if you do need rear wheel cylinders the stock size is 3/4 inch and you can get a pair for a 1984 S10 with manual brakes and they are 7/8 th's of a inch gives you a little more stopping power on the rear brakes.
