My Brake Light is on as the title stated. But my Cutlass is a Diesel. So I have a Hydroboost System. I was thinking my booster was bad. Becuz I have decent pedal its alittle on the low side, but none the less it can still lock up the brakes. But when Im at a red light the pedal will slowly go down till it get stiff like if the car wasnt running. Then I just left my foot up and it builds pressure and the pedal is good for another 15 secs or soon.
So now my question. I want install my GTA Quick Steering Box. But I been reading on moding my powersteering pump for more pressure. But I started thinking. Mine should be alrdy more flow for the hydroboost system. Or is it. I know Napa puts the diesel PS in a different catagory. Then I thought about it. The Previous Owner did some real shady stuff on this car. And I bet IF he replace the powersteering pump in the past, he would have got the cheapest one which is non-hydroboost PS. Which make me wonder now could this be the cause mine brake light. The Powersteering pump is not producing enough pressure.
And do you think a hydroboost pressure steering box is enough flow for that quick steering box or do I need to mod my PS pump still
