I'm in search of front performance brake calipers but I woukdnt have a good knowledge about it. I was looking at
SSBC A22214BK on jegs.com but then I seen some wilwood that my friend showed me. I have an 83 cutlass supreme btw.

Blazer spindles/brakes are a good, cheap junkyard upgrade (dual Piston 11" instead of the stock single piston 10.5") and blazer spindles make it easier to upgrade to 12" or 13" Corvette brakes.

2wd Drive 2nd gen (the aero ones) S10 blazers are the ones to look for.

Without having to change spindles just brakes. I plan doing that brake swap in the near future but for now I need something to swap the calipers I have now.

To add good brakes to a G-body you need to remove/modify the spindles. The S10 blazer spindles are already modified.

Those SSBC calipers are for a lightweight drag car and a guy trying to shave 20lb's off the front of his 3000lb drag car. Because they still use the 10.5" rotor, they offer very little braking improvement over a $20 single piston caliper from Autozone, especially on a full weight car.

Yes. Spindles are interchangeable, only more modern, with bolt on brake brackets, sealed hub bearings and provisions for ABS sensors.

You could almost get a full S10 setup with new dual piston calipers/rotors and sealed wheel bearings for about the price of the ssbc calipers.

Members on here sell the spindles/brackets or you can get them from your local pick and pull.

Honda Accords and Toyota Camry's have 11.8" brakes in front. If Honda and Toyota thought 10.5" brakes were "fine" for their 3300lb cars, they would have put 10.5" brakes on them.

yes same bolt pattern and the 2wd s10 / blazer have the same backspacing as a gbody. 16" ZQ8 wheels from an S10 Blazer is a common gbody wheel and tire upgrade

S10 blazers have the same bolt pattern as the 83 cutlass 5x4.75
Yes.
I have to agree with UNGN on this one. It's a popular swap on our type cars, being that it is a direct bolt on and a good bang for the buck. You're easily going to spend substantially more for a SSBC setup. Besides, the parts are all over the counter replacements.
Member TimO22 on the forum sells the S10 Blazer spindles.https://gbodyforum.com/threads/blazer-brake-upgrade.62359/
