what are some symtoms that a brake booster is goin out?

i was driving home and when i was coming to a stop my brake was getting harder and harder.. i got a few blocks from home and went to make a stop and it felt like something broke i checked once i did nothing was broke nor disconnected.. could my brake booster be goin out?

The pedal will feel rock hard, and become very hard to push down... like when you press the brakes when the car is not running.

well now i kno fa sure my brake booster is gone... any recommendations on were to buy one from?

What ever your favorite parts store is... I buy everything from my local CarQuest store.

napa, CQ, levines, International auto parts, are all pretty good. i do not trust autozone, advance etc for important parts. i'd much rather pay more money for a properly built part.
