It has been done before, but it is not a popular swap. There are a few technical merits to the V6 over the more popular V8 swaps though, namely weight distribution. The engine is mostly behind the front axle centerline with the V6, and the V6 is lighter than the lightest factory V8, thus giving vastly improved weight distribution. I researched the swap years ago for my car, but the cheapness of an SBC won out due to my limited income.

Somewhere in the customs phot gallery I started I put a pic of a black cutty that someone put a GN drivetrain in. It sounds cool. Keep us posted.

ok guys, will do. itll be a while before i post pics and everything of it but ill deffinatly let you guys see it

I'm amazed that they even swapped over the powermaster brakes.

Ya, i've seen one. Only one, lol. It was a 4-speed car. 82 or 83 i think. Thought it was pretty weird.
I was going to buy a 1979 olds cutlass w/ a 260 and a borg warner 4 speed but it had no floor in it and a buddy of mine had a 1978 malibu wagon originally equipped w/ a 267 and 4 spd too. the only 2 I,ve ever seen. Maybe they thought that would help those boat anchors. If I were to go with a different type of drivetrain I'd try the cadillac northstar V8 over the buick 6.

Meaning the fwd spc engine not the Gn motor.
