SE Turbo built that car.....it is very nice!!!

If anyone is needing a good running 87 Grand National engine and trans with the best mods,I have a setup for sale.

Yep, I saw one, too. It was a 1980 model with a 3.8 Buick 4bbl hot air setup, just like the turbo T cars.

It had a chevy bowtie in chrome with the word TURBO next to it glued on the little hood bump.

I have also seen the northstar setup in Hot Rod magazine. It was put into an 87 442. They used an S-10 700r4 trans behind it because the 2.8V6 uses the same metric transmission bolt pattern as most of the front wheel drive GM's. I have heard of the fwd 3800 doing a similar thing, but I haven't seen that one yet.

The turbo 6 swap shouldn't cost any more than a big block chevy swap. I would bet money that for the same dollars invested, you could go faster and get more mileage for cruising from the Buick Turbo...

IF i can ever find a Regal 82-87 coupe this is what I want to do.

Noted: I have put 38000 series II engines in 4 other non-orginal cars
1) 93 GP
2) Grand Am
3) S-10
4) miata (still in process for ever)

thats cutlass with the GN drivetrain is sick!!! hats off to you on that project. Ive always thought about the 85 monte ss with a GN driveline. wheels and all. I gotta ask though, how costly an was it a pain the *ss to do??? Id like to know in case ima turn my second 85 ss to a GN sleeper

Freakin sweet is right! Thats exactly how i would do that swap. And i didn't even know it till i saw the pics! 8)
