I just bought a buick 455 from, this guy for a little bit of nothing.. The only problem is I didnt notice the main bearing caps were missing.. Where can I buy some new ones???

i look on there I guess Im having trouble finding them

a jinkyard would be the best bet, then the machine shop can line to make them fit or email taperformance..

thanks for the help I found this guy on ebay selling misc 455 parts and he's gonna send me a set

so my next big question is... which motor mounts will i use for this installation and is true will have to drill holes for them to fit??

I guess I have my hand full and will be spending a nice amount of money... smh

In my '87 Regal with a 455/TH400 swap, I used the mounts out of the Electra 225. I bolted the engine to the stock v6 trans, lined up the harmonic balancer with the sway bar, marked the frame, pullled the engine back out, drilled the frame, and viola' 455 mounts for a Regal. Same process with most of the mounts you'll find for a 455 Buick. If you look at the 455 68-72 Skylark GS mount, they are very short, not much taller than the bolt. They resemble Olds mounts, but are in a different location.

As far as that goes, you could weld some pipe/tubing onto a plate and use it for the frame mount. The shorter it is the better A/C box clearance you will have. I will snap some pics tomorrow....
