How prone to rust are Buick rally wheels. I am trying to build the ultimate sleeper Regal and I am trying to keep the wheels kind of stock looking. I really like the Buick rally wheels but I have seen a lot of rusty ones and I was wondering how rust prone they are? Also, any other wheel suggestions for my sleeper Regal would be greatly appreciated. Pix too?
Thank you

My experience is that all chrome wheels tend to rust....theyre in a bad environment. But if you try to clean them often they last alot longer.

Thanks for your reply

How often? Every week because that is doable but I don't know if I would want to clean them more often then that. If I didn't get these wheels, what type of wheel would you suggest I get. I am trying to keep this car looking classic but I don't care for hubcaps. I don't really know of any aluminum wheels that would look classic on this car.

like these and once a week cleaning should be fine unless you have cheap brake pads i hate brake dust

Thanks, I like the look of those keystones. They are aluminum wheels right, so they won't rust? Does anyone have any pix of these wheels on their g-body so I can see what it would look like? Any other wheels similar to the Buick rallys what I would want to know about?

i dont think there aluminum i was positive there was malibu in the photo album with them on but i cant find it i saw it in the random pics

I like the look of the original Buick Rallys.
Buying aftermarket is too easy. getting originals show you put effort into it.

I agree with you, I like the original Buick rallys better too, but I don't want to buy the Buick rallys, have them end up rusting and looking like crap. I need to find out how much work is needed to keep them from getting all rusty. If all they need is to be cleaned once in a while, I will go for them, if they require cleaning more than once a week, that is more work then I think a set of wheels is worth.
